Sony Venezia 2 Announced – 8.6K RAW Recording, Dual ISO, PL Lens Mount up, and More

Other enticing offering for seasoned professionals, DPs, camera assistants, colorists, VR, and VFX departments is about to hit the market adjacent spring. Sony has just announced the latest addition to its CineAlta camera lineup – the Venezia 2. It seems that Sony has kept the overall body I/O and climbing thread options corresponding to the modular configuration of the original VENICE, but there's a lot, much more.

Unlike its predecessor, the 8.6K Sony VENICE 2 can flash back and record 8.6K footage at 30 fps and 8.2K in either 17:9 or 16:9 at up to 60 fps. On elevation, it also has multiple 4K catch resolutions fully-frame, rotund-frame phylogeny, and Big 35, and in that location are easily selectable full-frame modes so much as full 8.6K30, 8.2K60, 5.8K48, and 5.8K90.

Furthermore, the VENICE 2 sensor raises the camera's dual-range base ISO to an impressive 800/3200 for cleaner images in a variety of situations. The 8.6K detector can be swapped with the 6K detector from the original VENICE to leave higher border recording with the original photographic camera.

Other noteworthy features include an awful 16-stop dynamic range, internal recording onto a high-speed ASX card, internal recording formats up to ProRes 4K 4444 and 422, and an interchangeable sensor with updated serviceableness and organic structure design.

The new 8.6K sensor as wel features, windowing, oversampling 8.6K to 4K picture quality, and best VFX and VR support with its low noise, 8K output, and enhanced information.

As with the original VENICE, the VENICE 2 comes with a removable PL Mount that supports the Cooke /i Technology lens metadata protocols, allowing you to work with cinema-style glass ranging from time of origin to modern.

Interestingly, the PL Mount can be removed to get access to a Sony E-Mountain, thus accepting autochthonal E-mount lenses. The newcomer also features cardinal integrated and motorized ND filters range from clear to seven Michigan of ND in one-stop increments.

Users leave also get access code to advisable-renowned features from the original VENICE such as support for the X-OCN XT transcription format, varied de-squeeze ratios, cache rec function, abide for 6G/12G output SDI, improved VF menu operations and Frame Line of products setting and overmuch more.
